As reports associate with the reference to iSuppli data  , in the third quarter this year for the first time in the history of computer technology , in the world were sold more notebook, than desktop systems. The notebook sales volumes in this year grew by 40%. In the third quarter 2008 were sold 38,5 ml. Desktop computers, which is 1,3% less than in the analogous period last year.

Reduction in the prices of liquid-crystal panels and some other components made notebooks accessible for wide masses. In the third quarter, the scales of economic crisis are playing hard, but computer markets had time  to grow by 15,4% in comparison with analogous periods last year.

In the number of five computers leading producers we have : HP, Dell, Acer, Lenovo and Toshiba. Acer company demonstrated the sharpest dynamics increase in the sales volumes  : up to 45% in comparison with the second quarter 2008, and up to 79% in comparison with the third quarter 2007. Thanks to aspire one ( three million pieces more than in the second quarter ). Asus company  in the list of the most important producers computers occupies the sixth place.
